EAA Chapter 1027
Monthly Events:
Chapter events typically occur on the second Saturday of the month at the clubhouse at Willits Airport/Ells Field, 11AM to 3PM or at Boonville Airport or another announced location or time. Lunch, beverage and dessert are provided for a $10 donation to the chapter. All pilots of experimental and certified aircraft as well as people interested in aviation are welcome to attend!
HISTORICAL AIRCRAFT DISPLAYS
Historical Aircraft on are display to the general public at these locations and times weather permitting:
- Little River Airport (KLLR): Third Saturday of each month, 9AM to 1PM
- Willits Airport: Second Saturday of each month from 10AM to 2PM.
- Ukiah Airport: The first Saturday of each month from 10AM to 2PM
- Boonville Airport: Third Saturday of each month from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call (707) 895-2949 for information.
- Ocean Ridge Airport, Third Sunday of each month - 10AM to 3PM.
- Lampson Airport - Fourth Saturday of each month - 10AM to 2PM.

Basic Med
Fly to Boonville Airport (D83) to see your Basic Med doctor! The Anderson Valley Health Center is located adjacent to Boonville Airport and a short walk from transient parking. Dr. Mark Apfel is encouraging pilots that wish to have their Basic Med physical performed to contact him and schedule an appointment. The Health Center is located at 13500 Airport Road, Boonville, CA 95415 and their phone number is (707) 895-3477. This is a great opportunity for pilots wishing to obtain their Basic Med certificate.
10th Annual Spring Fly-in
Willits
Saturday April 9th
Willits EAA Chapter 1027 is proud to announce that we have moved our sponsored Spring Fly-ins back to Willits, CA, O28. This offers the advantages of being up out of the ground fog at 2,000 feet, hard surfaced parking for the planes if the ground is wet, an airport webcam for fly-in guests to check airport area weather for their flight to Willits, and importantly, have fuel available at the airport, currently priced at $5.00*, 100LL.*price subject to change
The fly-in will feature an aircraft display with event sheets and sign-offs available, and a special two-entree barbecue for the special event.
Featured will be fresh-grilled lean sirloin beef burgers and Alaska wild, ocean caught salmon burgers with all the trimmings, chips, sodas and bottled spring water, for desert featuring Haagen-Dazs ice cream.
Our runway, 16/34 has been rehabbed and reconfigured to 2705X75 with paved overruns at each end. Runway 34, upslope, is the preferred runway in light winds.

2nd Annual Great American Freedom Fly-in
Saturday, June 18th
Willits EAA Chapter 1027 invites all to express their freedom to fly and to assemble to celebrate and enjoy the camaraderie that is at the heart of general aviation on Saturday, June 18th, from 11 AM to 3 PM at Ells Field Willits Municipal Airport, O28.
In this 78th year anniversary of D-Day, we pay tribute to all of those who sacrificed to allow us to have this freedom by exercising that freedom.
Come join us and enjoy a great barbecue of grilled beef sirloin burgers, Alaska wild-caught salmon burgers with all the trimmings, beverages, and Haagen-Dazs ice cream for dessert. This is an aircraft display day, with display forms and sign offs provided.
Saturday, June 18th, 11 to 3, barbecue served from 11:30 to 1:30.
